What is McCormick Consumer Testing?

McCormick Consumer Testing uses the opinions of consumers, like you, to help guide the product development process for a variety of food and beverage products.

How does it work?

Using our database of registered consumers, we ask individuals that meet the demographic requirements of the product testing we are conducting to participate in consumer testing. If you are selected, you’ll receive an email from our automated system inviting you to answer some questions for an upcoming consumer survey. Once you have answered the questions, the system will inform you as to whether or not you qualify to participate in the survey. If you are eligible to participate, you will be notified when the survey is available. Not everyone will qualify for each survey, so even if you do not qualify for a particular survey, you may be contacted for future survey opportunities.

When and how often do you conduct surveys?

We conduct surveys periodically throughout the year, about one survey per month.

How long will it take to complete the survey?

Surveys will vary in content, and on average will take approximately 5-10 minutes. You will be informed of the estimated survey length during the opening announcement in the survey.

Am I compensated for my time?

From time to time, we may choose to make promotional offers, including contests, available to survey participants.

How will I be asked to participate in a test?

When we are recruiting for a survey, our automated system emails consumers who are registered in our database who meet the basic demographic requirements for that particular test. Surveys will only be accessible for a limited time, so it is recommended that you respond as soon as possible.
